To Sacrifice

To Sacrifice

The Lord needs me to sacrifice

The things I desire most of all

To do the will

He has set for me

Expecting me to help others walk tall

If I had had my own way

I would not be where I am

I would not have grown the same

I would have altered His great plan

I go forth with courage and faith

Trusting in His never failing love

He knows my heart and deep desires

I'll rely on He who is above.

To sacrifice my deep desires

Is a great and trying test

But the Lord cannot forget me-

For He knows what is best!

Sacrifice! Sacrifice!

That's all I need to do

I sacrifice my will for His

And have faith He'll see me through
